Same fur material, a different path to your door
Choosing ready-made does not mean choosing a lower tier of fur. Companion uses the same fur material as HugTwin. What changes is the design and ordering process: an existing Companion pattern is ready to select, while HugTwin is made around an individual pet’s photographs.

Why Companion can ship sooner
An in-stock Companion does not need a new photo brief, an individual pattern-development process, or a custom preview conversation. You are selecting an established design, which lets the order move directly toward packing and dispatch.
Under our shipping policy, in-stock Companion items normally ship within three business days. That is the dispatch time, not a promise of delivery within three days. Transit depends on your destination and carrier.
Look at features, not just the breed label
A breed name is a useful starting point, but the photographs do the real work. Compare the main coat colors, ear shape, muzzle, expression, and posture. A mixed-breed pet may resemble an existing design even when the label is different.
- Coat and markings: start with the main color blocks, chest patch, and face stripe.
- Ears and muzzle: compare upright or folded ears and the length and shape of the face.
- Body and pose: think about both resemblance and how you would like to hold the plush.
Pick your three most important features. If an existing design captures them and you like the product as pictured, ready-made may already meet your needs. It is a finished design you choose, rather than a replica made from your own pet’s photos.
When HugTwin makes sense
Choose HugTwin when individual features are essential: an unusual patch, an asymmetrical ear, a distinctive face, or a combination of traits absent from the ready-made collection.
The custom process begins with your photographs and the features you want to preserve. After production, you review photographs of your actual finished plush before shipping and discuss reasonable changes when needed.
What the custom price pays for
HugTwin’s higher price reflects the extra work around an individual order: interpreting pet photographs, working through the design brief, making the piece, preparing the finished-plush preview, and communicating about any agreed refinements. That time and coordination are part of the custom service.
Companion’s established designs avoid much of that individual development and back-and-forth. Its more accessible price is therefore not a reason to assume a lower-grade fur material. If the ready-made design is already a match you love, you do not need to pay for customization you will not use.
