A Pomeranian is roughly 20% dog and 80% coat, and the coat isn't uniform — it stands off the body in layers, with a dense ruff around the neck and a tail that fans forward over the back. Getting that volume without turning it into a shapeless ball is the whole job.

What we sculpted into this one

• The stand-off double coat, built in layers so the fur sits away from the body instead of lying flat
• A full neck ruff, denser than the body coat, framing the face the way it does on the real thing
• The plumed tail, fanned and carried forward over the back rather than trailing behind
• Small erect ears, nearly buried in the ruff — which is exactly how they look in person
• The fox-like face with a short muzzle, dark eyes, and the alert expression that makes Poms look permanently interested
